The Bromley Wine Society
Monthly Sessions on Wednesdays
7pm – 9pm
Beckenham Public Hall
4 Bromley Rd, Beckenham, BR3 5JE
What to expect
The sessions run monthly. We try 8 wines each month, looking at different varieties and styles all the time. We will have Charcuterie and cheese to nibble on as we sip. You guys will dictate what we learn and what wines I bring as the sessions continue – this will be tailored completely to you.
I am hoping that this becomes a fun thing to do in the community. The objective is to come and have fun, maybe make some friends, and definitely leave each session feeling more confident with how to order wine in a restaurant, or what to pick in a supermarket.
For those people more knowledgeable in the world of wine, I will be picking interesting wines which have a story so there should be something for everyone at these sessions.
Bring as many friends as you want so it’s an energetic and lively session.
You do need to bring some wine glasses with you: The ISO glasses are recommended ( Size is 20cl a glass ) – these are the recognised standard for tasting wine. You can buy a pack of 6 from me for £15 (if you give me a few weeks notice) bring anything else that works for you. If you are not sure if you will be regularly attending these sessions (i hope you do!) and don’t know if it’s worth it just yet you can rent some glasses from me for £2 a session – just let me know in advance.
I’m so looking forward to this meetup and hope that you all choose to share your wine journey with
